Question 1

Can I use this for recurring cleans?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you book a job, you can set it to repeat weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Recurring jobs show up on your schedule automatically, and reminders go out before each one.

Question 2

How do SMS reminders work?

Accepted Answer

When you book a job, your client automatically gets a text 24 hours before — who it is from, when you are due, and how to reach you. Reminders go out from a send-only number, so anyone who texts back gets a note pointing them to your phone instead. STOP and HELP work the way carriers require, and every message is included in the plan.

Question 3

Do clients need an app to pay?

Accepted Answer

No. You send an invoice with a Stripe payment link. They tap the link, enter their card, and pay. Works on any phone or computer — no app needed.

Question 4

Does it sync with my Google Calendar?

Accepted Answer

Your cleans appear in Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar automatically. It's one-way: changes you make in your calendar don't come back to Service Puffin.

Question 5

Can I bring my existing client list?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can import clients from a CSV spreadsheet. If you need help, message us and we'll do it for you.

Question 6

What happens when my trial ends?

Accepted Answer

The 14-day trial needs no card, so there is nothing to cancel if you decide against it. When the trial ends you can subscribe to carry on adding work; either way your clients, jobs and invoices stay readable and exportable.

Question 7

Who is behind Service Puffin?

Accepted Answer

One person who cleans houses for a living and runs their own cleaning business on it. There is no sales team: the person who built it is the one who sets you up and answers your emails.

Question 8

Is my data locked in?

Accepted Answer

Never. You can export your clients, jobs, and invoices at any time. Your data is yours.

Question 9

Is payment processing secure?

Accepted Answer

Payments are handled by Stripe, one of the most trusted payment processors in the world. We never see or store your clients' card numbers.
